Recently I noticed most people who are into warhammer 40K has these attributes: a) Obsession: Can one have a 'healthy' obsession? Or any obsession is bad? Immersion in one's hobby or sport is clearly important, but when will it border into obsession. b) Passion: This is normally substituted by individuals upset about the term obsession, they would just state being passionate rather than being obsessed. Though I must admit, something you have paid for dearly should be treasured and nurtured. c) Race obsession: I observed this on players having an inordinate need to always use the same race or army when playing. c-1) It's the only army they own, this is understandable the damnn figures are not that cheap, even the cheapest ones are not cheap! hahahaha c-2) The army agrees with their style of play. Most people are overtly aggressive therefore they choose assault armies like Chaos and Nids or Orkies. While some people are laid back generals preferring to poun
There's a confusion on the subject of size when talking about titans. There's also a clash on the fluff books and the rulebooks, even a picture of a titan dwarfing a MOUNTAIN is not helping at all! hahahah Well the makers of warhammer wanted to hype up and make the machines god-like, so we could drink up and appreciate the warhammer universe more, but even the game makers are unsure I think. Personally I'm making my titan practical in it's size, since I still wanted to be able to lift it up myself and put it in a table without being ridiculously sized as or to be so funny looking dwarfing other models like ants to a buffalo. I settled for this size: 29" tall, 16" width (fortress module) and 13" depth (fortress module) 4.5" depth for the body proper. With this sizes, the normal two inch soldier is still looking respectable. I do hope the finish product would not look like a squat imperator titan! hehehe On to slicing more cardboard!!..
Well I received my baneblade order from an ebay seller, and excitedly built it. Being a novice modeler I made some errors on the sponsons and the weapons: a) I placed the twinlinked bolters and flamers without glue! stupid! b) I placed BOTH the bolters on one side! and consequently the flamers on the other. c) I placed one of the flamers the wrong way, now it's lower than it's brother! Like firing your gun with the handle higher than the barrel, get it? Duh Damnn, its the most expensive piece of my IG army, cant just throw the damn thing, warts and all, it looks awesome, hehehe. Took me three days work on it,including putting primer. Well thats just about most of the work I could put in it. Cant buy the paint set yet :)
